Three Salvations

November 12, 2009

The day got off to a great start when an older man walked in to the Healing Room. They had been praying with him since April. He came in and told us that he gave his life to Christ last night. He had been coming in for prayer for his own healing and for the healing of his two sons. Both of his sons were drug addicts. One of them has graduated from Teen Challenge and the other is still in the program. A short time later a young man came in asking how he could receive Jesus in his life. He told us that he had been struggling with drug addiction and wanted to get clean so that he could be a good father to his daughter. We prayed with him and then allowed him to pray himself to ask God into his heart.  We introduced the two men to each other so that the younger man could find out how to get into a drug rehabilitation program and learn how to live his new life.

Later, another young man who gave his life to Christ yesterday brought his friend in to receive Christ into his heart. His friend felt guilty and condemned, He didn’t feel good enough to attend church. We read him scriptures and prayed for him. He prayed and asked God to change and save him. Afterwards we gave him a bible and showed him Psalm 34:12-14, Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” He asked us to put a star next to that verse and said he was going to gather up a group of his friends to go to the Town Hall. Praise God!

Filled

November 11, 2009

The Healing Room is open on Wednesdays. People came in for prayer the minute we opened the door. One man shared with us about how he felt marginalized during his life. He never learned to read properly and it made him shy and unwilling to be involved in church. The team began to speak words of encouragement to him. His shyness made him a good listener.

A member of the prayer circle had a word for him from God. She said that he would be used to work with the young people because they need someone that will listen. And that he would be able to sympathize with them since he once felt like an outcast. During the prayer he was filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with new heavenly language. He could hardly believe it and asks the group if he had been given a heavenly language and they said “Yes!”

Deliverance

November 10, 2009

The day began with training for the team about how the Healing Rooms work. God gave the Pastor of the Healing Rooms and his wife a promise. Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do” (John 14:11).

Our day didn’t go as planned. We had planned to pray and worship after orientation and open the Healing Rooms. However, God had another plan. As soon as we were done someone came in and asked for prayer. Later in the day, a middle-aged woman came in. She was confused in her mind and infirm. She said that she couldn’t do anything good because a voice inside her head discouraged her from even trying. The pastor and two team members prayed for her, that she would stop hearing the evil voice and for it to no longer have a detrimental effect on her life. She couldn’t even say the name of Jesus. It seemed to stick in her throat. After several minutes of prayer she became calmer and was able to call out to Jesus.  The team members advised her to renounce the occult and call on the name of Jesus.

Healing Room Training

November 7, 2009

The healing room ministry was provided with a series of training sessions prior to traveling to Scotland. In the first session, the healing room leader described his vision for Scotland – that there would be over a million people who would surrender their lives to Christ. He said that one of the ways that God would reach peoples hearts was to touch their physical infirmities.

We go and pray for people because God has commanded us to do it and we just simply obey. He then shared about a woman with a painful back problem – her vertebrae were rubbing against each other. The worker asked her if it would be painful for her to stand because they normally prayed for people standing. She replied that it was painful either way, so she decided to stand. When she began to straighten up, there was a loud crack and the Lord healed her. The leader explained that it was rare for someone to be healed before they had even prayed.

Miracles do happen.
